Hyundai — Crafting a global personality for a Korean hero.
2016 was a big milestone for Hyundai – turning the global brand from the “old car-builder” into a modern, intuitive and emotional experience for the customer. A key driver of the re-branding and image transformation, was the complete overhaul of its typography. In collaboration with HvD Fonts we were commissioned to create new custom typefaces for the Hyundai brand, as well as for its subbrand IONIQ and premium brand Genesis. The typefaces have been implemented globally since 2017.
