Mushroots — Replacing meat replacement.
Created by Europe's leading mycelium company Infinite Roots, MushRoots was built to challenge the conventions of alternative protein. Rather than imitating meat, the brand puts mushrooms where they belong: at the centre of the plate. A new generation of products based on nature's original umami ingredient, designed to expand the category beyond plant-based and create a space of its own.

Working closely with the Infinite Roots team, our task was to develop the brand from the ground up and translate an ambitious product innovation into a compelling consumer proposition. Together, we defined the strategic foundations of the brand, developed its positioning and portfolio architecture, and created a holistic identity system spanning packaging, communication and activation. Built around a bold and highly recognisable visual language, the system combines a distinctive colour world, expressive typography and a flexible mix of food photography, AI-generated imagery and meticulous design craft. We created a brand experience that is as dynamic, flavourful and category-defining as the product itself.

The result is a distinctive consumer brand designed to perform where it matters most: at the shelf. MushRoots establishes a clear and ownable presence that stands apart from both traditional meat alternatives and plant-based competitors. The brand has already gained significant visibility in the German market, securing nationwide retail listings and helping introduce a new way of thinking about food.
